I would like to test EMU dish with BEV 3100 ird (301 dish)

I have heard that this IRD has anti-avr/emu firmware.

1. Is it possible to emu (i.e. using dos based cemu) with the 3100 ird?

2. If so, what connector/cable do you use to safely interface laptop (serial or parallel port) with the cardreader on the ird? I am not worried about ecf noise. I have heard the external max+mel card/cable does not work with 3100/301. Are there alternatives? I do not have skills to build/solder this stuff from scratch.

Thanks!!

Depends on what build...301-010 emus excellent. Thats what i emu Bev with.Rock solid.301-013 requires vidmod to emu.

The best interface is an internal 2313/232 max&mel emu.

DP301.013 will not do BEV.

Do you know if the internal 2313/232 max&mel emu will work on a bev 3100 ird?

If not, which is best..

Yes, the max&mel works 100% on Dish and Bell 3100/DP301.

Any DISadvantage to using an external max+mel board to emu dish on a bev3100?? i dont want to solder so this would be preferred..
