Newbie here - couple of q's

I think i am on the right track - just a little advise please.

I have a 3100 - put a phone line jtag on it - works great first time!!
Got the box keys and id. When you read the box keys from jkeys are they in hex already or do you convert them like the receiver id?

I have a rom 10 unlocked. It was rev a3d but i unlocked it with a script i found in the files list - it says rev is a16 now - is that right?

I can read it and have saved backups no problem.

I cant tell if the card is marked - when i read it the addresses only go to hex dffo not to hex e with the eeprom editor in nagraedit.

next i have to find a blocker but not sure which as i'm not sure which as i'm not sure if it is marked.

any help is appreciated

Question 1. You put the box keys in just like they read in jkeys, they are already converted

2. A16 is a virgin card that has been read in nagraedit, that is what it is suppose to be before you add blocker,

3. Do a read of the card in nagraedit, then goto data editor, over on the left side click on code space, there will be a OTP area in the right column containing three lines, it should be all 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 If there is anything other than 00, usually a FF, the card has been marked, that is the easy way to tell if a card has been marked. I recommend Mili's private blocker if you want a good blocker, and it doesn't matter if your rom 10 is marked or not, MIli's private blocker will work on it.

Sorry If I posted this in the wrong place but i did no want to start a new thread.

I have a couple of questions as well.
I am also a dish newbie. I have a superdish connected to a switch and i use a atmega 128 programmer.
I got the system off a friend and I am learning how to update and patch my card.

My system keeps getting the message:

"A serious problem has been detected in your receiver. please
call..." and the receiver gets locked up or something

and then I have to unplug power, replug, go into check switch and do all the tests again(the switch gets reset) and then get satellite signal and continue.

but this message comes up every 20 minutes or so on average

could anyone help me.

I'm going thru various newbie guides i got off this site but am still confused.

Your right on track ..and all you need for a blocker is the NBCbev 1+ 4+ blackout fix..which has been ECM free for over a year or so ....and it's free...PM me if you want it ...I'll send you to a site that I uploaded it to ..
