I have a DP 301.010 that has recently been giving me greeth! The issue I am having is that some of the transponders work and majority do not for 61.5, 110, and 119.

After a get some signal on either of the birds above, I check the switch and at times I may get the 110 or 119 with only even or odd but not both. I tried erasing the eeprom and putting a virgin, I tried memory dump, I tried new TSOP and cleaning the active one and leting it update, still no luck. I measured the voltage out of the sat cable connection and am geting the 13 and 18 volts.

The only thing that is odd is that when I smack the receiver lightly or tap on the board, at times the signal comes in. This would appear that there may be a loose connection somewhere.

If anyone has come across this phenomenon before and can led a had I would appreciate it.

PS- the cables and switches I am using are all in working condition. I have another DP301 that I checked on that connection and all is well.

Thanks,

Mike123333,

Sounds like a cold solder joint on your circuit board.

But you should also check all ground screws on the pcb, also the nuts on the back of your ird at the coax connectors and make sure everything is tight.

I had a 3900 that had some signal issues, it turned out to be the little channel 3 / 4 signal selector switch on the back of the ird. Try wiggleing it and see if there is any change in your signal. I know that sounds kinda stupid but strange things happen to these goofy receivers!!!!
