I think I've read every post on dead ird's, flashing ird flashes and eeprom's.
I hope I didn't miss one with the answer I'm looking for ;)

Trying to get a dishnet 2700 up and running on Bev.
Motherboard build config is coad

I downloaded a Bev TSOP (2700-coaa-e452)
Erased my flash completely (3 times)
Edited the tsop.bin (coaa), adding ird # and boxkeys and saved it
Created a virgin eeprom (coad)
In Jkeys 2.9.9 I wrote the new flash (twice)
Then I wrote the virgin eeprom (numerous times)

Repeated all the above steps from scratch.

With the ird plugged in I get no green led on the front.
There is no lock on this unit.
Attaching it to TV I get nothing, ie green screen.
I have an ird running on this Sat, so it would update if I could get it turned on.

I'm looking for an idea, logic flaw or way to see if it's junk !
Thanks in advance :)

Try erasing SA5 and the light should come on and stay on until it is restreamed and updated.

Ok, erased SA5 (3 times)
reading 7FFD0000 gives me FFFF

no led, unplug then replug = still no led

If dropping it from this 2 story window will help, lemme know :)

Updating. . . .

*Edit* Posting results for someone who has similiar problem.

This seemed like an older dishnet 2700.
The led would not come on while I was jtagging it.
Once I erased SA5 and streamed it, the led started blinking as it tried to update.

This was good news, but it wouldn't update, so I started over.

Downloaded good clean .bin for my Build, different one than I had been using.
Edited it with FlashEdit to get my BoxKeys and IRD # into the bin.
Chose SaveAs and wrote a personal dump of my new bin.
Chose SaveAs and wrote a virgin eeprom, entered my board Build (in caps).
Opened Jkeys, detected 2700
Chose Flash, did the power off, then on & click within 3s.
Erased flash 3 times, then programmed new flash with new bin.
Went back, then into Eeprom, programmed new virgin eeprom.

Streamed, turned it on, inserted card (atmega128) and watched TV (Bev)

Thanks to everyone who posted thier trial and error fixes.
Thanks to Skinerd for the good advice that gave me hope enough to finish :)

Moral of the story, make sure you have a good bin when you start.
