Can you measure voltage at the sat in connector??
with the sat cable out, insert a paper clip and measure voltage, should be 13vdc - 18vdc, alternating every couple of seconds.
Check that report back.

saw a few problems like that before. it's 1 of these solutions:

bad cable from sat./multiswitch
corroded wire from sat/multiswitch


in other words, check your cabling.
