DP301 .013 satellite signal aquisition - round 18" dish

Hi!...
i'm having trouble trying to find the 110 bird with my DP301 .013, round 18" dish....
I was just wondering, are there any known issues or problems for using a round 18" dish on the .013 receiver?... when using this dish, i select ''Dish300'' and transponder 1 in the dish pointing menu, is this what i need to be doing?

where roughly do you live ?
use transponder 11 for setup

P.S. the 119 bird has more channels

I have two 18" dishes set up, one for 110 and one for 119 with a SW21 switch. The 119 was harder to get than the 110. The 119 is over to the right and then down about an inch or so. 119 has more channels, but 110 has all the PPV.

thanks guys...i'll try transponder 11.. i'm near Toronto, Canada..... my goal is to set up the 2 18" dishes to get the 110,119 birds and combine the 2 with a sw21, ...but first i'm trying to get the 110 and havent been able to get a signal....i know the connections are all good b/c i managed to catch the BEV signal. My only question/concern was maybe the DP301 013 doesn't use a 18" sat, maybe it uses the newer 20" ones... has anyone heard of such a thing?

I'm in the prairies and get both no problem. You should be able to get them also, probably better than me. I have the two dish set up and both are 18". It' s definitely doable as I'm living proof. I'm using the 301-013 also so it's not the receiver.

The way i set up dishes it to use the receiver right next to the dish with a 6 ft cable connected directly to it and i have a 2.5inch tv so u can see exactly what sat ur r getting because u can pass the sat before the sound goes to a high pitch sqweel
