View Full Version : What IRD's do not need Dish Pro Adapter for Dish 500

Can anyone tell me what IRD's work with a Dish 500 and do not need a Dish Pro Adapter? I have a 2700 IRD, Dish 500 Twin LNBF, and a Magic Card. My 2700 IRD is pretty busted up and I wanted a DP301 010. I think that is my only option. I want to get an IRD that does not need a Dish Pro Adapter and one that works with the old cards too rom3 and rom10.

DP 301.010 is DishPro-already (DP stands for DishPro). It will work with either LNBs types (regular LNBs and DishPro LNBs).

I know the DP301.010 is DP ready. I am assuming that your 4900 is also DP ready?

nope - dish 500 for this unit . i thought you wanted something that didnt require an adapter ? didnt you say you had a dish 500 already ?

No receiver requires a DP lnb.
Non-DP receivers require a DP adapter when use with a DP lnb.
DP receivers work with any lnb, legacy or DP.
Non-DP receivers work with legacy (non-DP) lnb's or DP lnb's with a DP adapter.
DP lnb's are clearly marked with the DP logo.

dp receivers: (most 3 digit new receivers)
301/501/508/510......and anything else that charlie is advertising currently in their web page.

anything with 4 numbers and a 0,7,8 or 9 for the second digit (ex. 3000, 2800, 4700, 3900) needs legacy, or an adapter.

Please understand that I know all of this. I need to know what IRD's do not need a DP Adapter to get both the 119 and 110 birds while using a DP LNBF. I also need the IRD to work with a Magic Card or an Atmega. Most of the new IRD's require a rom 10x card and will not work with a Magic Card or Atmega. That is what I am asking.

you'll need the 301-10
the other's will work but you'll need to mod them.
