so here's the scoop...
turn on the receiver, and it says that there's a new software version out...
do i want to download...
i unlock my AR105-C Autoreset Locks, and let it take the update...
the software version prior to the download was 222...
after the download, still 222...
so, thinking that i may have had it unlocked all this time, i flick the switch, and let it download, and still version 222....
and every time i shut the receiver off, and then turn it back on, it asks me to download the new software...
What Gives???
anybody have an answer??
thanks

Do the favorties test , to see if your lock is working properly , when locked it should reset when you go to save a fav list , when unlocked it will not reset , Maybe that can help narrow down some problems!

I've had to turn the locks off with the IRD unplugged then plug it back in before to get the locks to disengage.

Always should unplug power before flipping the lock switch.

Forgot to mention the obvious - after update - unplug then relock then plug back in.

ok so this is it....
i have unplugged that 501... unlocked it... tried the download...
then turned it back on.. and still software version222...
so i figured that maybe my lock was actually unlocked, so i unplugged it and
tried there... again.. no go.. seems to take the update, but when it's finished programming the memory, and i go to turn it back on its still ver222..
so i tried eddie's suggestion... this is what happens...
when i go to save a favorite, either way in which ever position the lock is, it saves.. but when i go into the saved list(which now has a name of yyyyyyyyy's a mile long) and want to modify that list, the receiver does some funny colors on the screen and turns itself off.... so now i'm lost...
anything i should look for, or something i'm missing??
thanks

so this is it... i had one of the wires soldered to two spots on the board by mistake...
so i corrected this, and then, in the confusion, i hooked up C3 -DQ7.... i was told this was not needed if the lock was bought after April, which it was... but i thought what the hell, must be the problem... anyway, now this wire is hooked up, i corrected the wire to two solder pads, and now the receiver updates, as the screen is now 'Black with white writing', it says that the receivers memory is now being programmed, but this has gone on for more than an hour.. my wife is watching the receiver(nice of her) and she said that the receiver did turn off about 40mins into the black screen, stayed off for 30 seconds, then came back on to the black screen... is the problem the C3-DQ7 or what.... i can't figure it out....
i read Chief's post on the situation, but there never was a response to why it was doing this, other that Skinerd said he'd take a look at his receiver... so does anyone else have this problem or not?? And what should i do??
i know i can reflash it and put it into the stream, but what about the update??
thanks...

The AR105 series locks can be switched on the fly. No need to unpower. Pretty nice feature.

Cool. Didn't know that. That is a nicer feature indeed!

well... i can't figure it out...
i had to reflash the tsops and the eeprom and have the software version at 222...
i guess i'm gonna keep it this way... i don't know what the problem is... i checked and double checked the lock connections... and everything is A.O.K.....
i'd go to accept the upgrade.... and it ALWAYS gets stuck at the 'your receivers memory is now being programmed'... black screen with white writing....
when i shut it off a day later and read the keys and tsops... it says it's still at version 222...
so for now, i'm just leaving it the way it is...
Anyone with anymore ideas??
I'd sure appreciate it....
