301.010 locked up

I have a DP 301.010 which was giving me problems with acquiring signal and switch check. I posted up this issue in an earlier thread.

Recently, the IRD stopped responding and went into blinking mode, without me doing anything to it. During this blinking and shutting down mode there is only a black screen on the TV.

Based on the above issue, I immediately started reading posts from folks that described similar issues.

So far I have tried the following:

1. Jtagged the IRD - cleaned both TSOPS- thoroughly.
2. Loaded backup of recent software version and virigin EEPROM- No Go
3. Loaded original TSOPS and EEPROM - No Go.
4. Had the IRD in virigin state (3 above) and left in the stream for several hours. No Go.
5. Loaded new IC 23 and let the IC 22 update from stream, still No Go.
6. Tried the 301 resurrection - NO GO


I have run out of ideas. Any other opinions or ideas, would be appreciated.

If this thing appears to be dead, let me know. Or do I keep erasing and reapplying the TSOPS until something gives.

Does this receiever have a tsop lock? Sounds like it was trying to update and was stopped.

hey birdie, what can be done if it; "Sounds like it was trying to update and was stopped" . i have the same problem here. just put an odd lock on it after erasing sa3 and now all i have is black tv. no power lite, can't do anything. suggestions??

I assume that you erased SA3 for ecm repair. You have the lock turned off, card out for updating, correct???

yes, ecm repair. i had the card in upside down, is that wrong?
