Ive had DTV for quite sometime, then as everyone knows its out. I still have my dish on the roof all hooked up, and a friend of mine introduced me to someone who can get me a Express view reciever that takes no card and doesn't go down. He also said that I can use the same Dish on the roof, basically point it and Im set. But the thing is, he wants $400 for the reciever ? Im sure that I can find something cheaper maybe on here or on Ebay. Problem is I don't know where to start or what I am looking for.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Oh and I don't want to get "hosed" on this deal, been reading in the threads and Mili and others keep saying there are alot of scams out there :)

also , with the one dish you'll only get 1 bird (satellite ) , so you won't be getting a ton of channels .

thats correct, unless u put on other dish looking at other sats, but again a dish looking at 119-110 (super dish) mod a adaptor u can get unline for 2 seperate lnbs :)

actually on bev 91 you get all the channels you need except ethnic stuff...not a fan of fta myself...they seem to be a real sore spot for providers and have been swiped at a coupla times....prefer avr for rookies and plastic once some reading under belt...2700 receivers the easiest to work with for newbies and still fairly inexpensive....just my pennies
