4000 ird want update

i have a 4000 ird with a good location id . i have tryed everthing . i tryed the jyf.ihave tryed menu 6 1 5 with out ny permission and left it in the stream for 2 days now and it still hasnt updated.there are no locks installed.i dont anything else to do to the old bastard.......thanks for the help

It Will Not Update Once You Do The JYF On It With Dish! If You Can Still Get To The Sys Info Screen, The JYF Didn't Take And It Should Update In The Stream If You Are Getting Good Signal Strength Amd The Software Version Does Not End With A -F.

Is there a way to get the boxkeys from a 4000 receiver. Got one recently but without the card.

You Can Purchase An F040 Reader/Writer ($300).
Do A Search For Voltmeter Method.
Do A Search For BoxKeys2.
Send It Out To A Dealer To Have The BoxKeys Read.
