help 301-013 dishnet

Need your help please, a friend my just get one ird dishnet, I jtag last night box keys ird # OK, the build is CFG DANA BOOT STRAP ALL Y"S MODEL ID 10E SOFTWARE P182. I program atmega 128 18mhz, when power up no power then I insert the card and the receiver power up shows code 015 then error 349. After 1 or 2 minutes the power went off and not respond any more then unplugged for a couples of hours and when I plugged was the same problem, power do not stay ON any ideas thanks

Need to do a vid mod
349 is a bluecard error to fix


You will need a modded version of Jkeys or an equivalent program if there is one to be able to go any further if you don't have the program.

Make sure SPDT switch is set so it is NOT SUPPLYING 12 volts to tsop Plug in IRD and start Jkeys.

As soon as Jkeys ID's your IRD/tsop you can flip SPDT switch to VID position.

Enter Jkeys programming mode and in the address enter 7FFFFFAC.
Should come up D500.

Change it to 0000 and hit program.

If everything went well you have completed the vid mod and your ird will now take a blue CAM.

After you unplug the ird switch back to "regular mode" on the SPDT switch.

You have to vidmod the 301-013 if your bootstrap is 17 and over. Your software is outdated. Mine is at 204 if I can recall correctly. Once you do the vidmod, you will be able to accept any type of card, atmega, MC etc. Make sure you erase SA49 a few times also and restream the receiver without the card.

If I will restream with out doing the vidmod will fix the problem?

Erase SA49, let it stream, might clear it up.
The problem you may encounter is that it will appear to erase but it won't actually erase, that can be cured by grounding R79 before booting up to erase. The ungrounding to stream.

I use a DPDT switch, 1/2 of it has the vid mod and 1/2 has R79/ground, never had a problem switching it on before booting up..

Do a search under Gunther's vidmod. It's the easiest, IMO.
