Ok since nobody liked the fruit cake recipe I will give you a serious recipe.

Great Chowder for a cool winter or summer night

1 Large Onion
5 slices bacon
2 cups diced potatoes
2 dozen large clam's, ground (big quahogs hardshell)
1 qt milk
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 cup milk

Fry diced onion and bacon together until golden. Add diced potatoes and cover with water. Boil until potatoes are done. Grind clam's and add the clam's and broth to potatoes mixture. Pour in 1qt. milk and pepper. Heat to simmer only. Mix 1/4 cup milk and flour and add to clam mixture. Simmer 10 minutes. Do not boil. Chowder is now ready to serve with pilot crackers.

I usually double this when we have company and of course we go get the clam's ourselves so the ones we don't use for the chowder we throw on the fire and eat on a cracker with some hot sauce and butter. But if you like them raw have at it :D

I don't like clams, dennys, will I like this chowder? Could I substitute something for the clams, like, well, anything?:D
The boss likes clam chowder, I'll get her to fix it. Sounds easy. Hell, I might even try a bite.
