Are the Classifieds gone for good?

Just a question. Are the classifieds gone for good? I have bought , sold, traded, and used the services of others in the forums. One man's garbage can be another man's treasure. Luckily I haven,t been scammed by anyone here and don't plan on ever doing it to anyone else. But just a question to the powere that be. Thanks.

Royalman, we've pulled the plug on public advertising, due to a staggering increase in scammers. Almost all of these postings turn into a suspicion-filled pissing contest anyway....and we got sick of it. Most other sites have done away with advertising for precisely the same reason.

I realize for every outlaw, there's 10 honest folks with services/goods to sell or trade. I'm working on a means to allow this to continue in some form - other than the way it was being done, which unfortunately had turned into a disaster. For now, use PM. I know that's inconvenient - but that's how it is.
