I thought I knew what was going on, but then I read another thing contradicting what I just read. I will just ask!
1. I want one HD reciever, 1 DVR receiver, and 1 standard. I was planning on getting the 6000 (HD), 501 (DVR) , and 2 301's (standard). I know the 301 and 501 use that dishpro stuff, does the 6000?
2. how many dishes do i need (and switches ect) , i was hoping to get this all done with one dish (superdish), is this a pipedream?
3. Knowing what i need, what do you suggest i get as far as dishes, LNB's, switches, and recievers go? I know this is a fairly basic question, but i have been out of sat. loop for a while and everything has changed. Like i said i keep finding things that point me in 2 directions, so i wanted to ask to know for sure before i waste a ton of money.
Thanks!

I'm not sure if the 6000 is DP is quite new and still offered by dish so it probably is, anyhow, DP receiver do not need DP LNB's, ,you can use legacy on all of them.

A quad Legacy LNB could be all you need.

ok last question, the HD bird is 61.5. does the superdish see that? it looks like it does not and i would need a second dish. is that correct? if so, why does it say HDTV on the superdish? it looks like i need a 500 and a 300 dish to see 119, 110, and 61.5 (to get standard and HD programing). is this correct?
thanks

thanks, so it looks like a dish 500 w/ legacy quad LNB and a SW44 is all i really need. this will connect to a 301 and 501 without issues and still work with a 4900. Please correct me if i am wrong, thanks for the help.

If it has the built in switch you'll just need to run a cable direct from the lnb to each receiver.
with a quad if your gonna run for u need no 44 switch
