There's only one screw, on the back, took it out but the cover won't slide out or move at all. What's the trick?

Hold the front of the box toward you ....gently tap on the cover toward yourself...

Thanks, got it open, didn't realize that the front panel is attached to the top (unlike 301 and 501).

But now I'm having trouble putting it back together. Either I'm missing something or this is harder than it needs to be. Any tips?

Look at the bottom of the top cover, you'll see that it has hooks on it at the bottom on both sides. These hooks will need to be inserted into the grooves of the chassis. Then just give it a "push" from the front toward the back, they'll fall in place....

Thanks. Finally got it in, but it wasn't easy. Are all 3700s hard to open and close, or is it just me?

Nop its no just you , i had the same trouble with a 2700 , The damn thing would not budge , I had to take a screw driver and Force it , I finally got it , but You can Tell by look at it that its been pryed on , Although I can now Open those Models without having to do that , When your first attemting to open them they are a pain , Thank god the newer ones are slide off types and not the Crappy "hook type"
