383 Rom3 Backdoor closed

I have searched the forums and can not find the final solution to the backdoor closed issue. I have the ISO programmer and have tried many of the glitch and other scripts with no success.
My error is like many others that posted

Opening of COM1 was successful

This is not a password issue, the backdoor is closed and will not open with any of the passwords or bugbuster in Niagraedit.

My card is still working....but if I need to make any changes...I'll be stuck until this is resolved.

What blocker did you have applied? NoMore64 required to send 1 Bugbuster packe in Nagra then onestep clean. If you have the original card image, open it in nagra and look at C700 I think to retrieve backdoor password. Going to be blocker dependent though. Sorry couldn't be more help

I do not get good ATR results in the 3.68 mode, I can only read in the 3.57 mode. However, it tends to throw timeouts in Winexplorer or thinks the backdoor is closed in Niagraedit because it did not get a response back in time....so simply timed out

Both my ROM2 and ROM3 cards, read just fine just 2 months ago......Only the ROM3 has been patched and put into the stream.

This makes me think there is a problem with the ISO programmer or something with the apps.

I tried 2 computers with the same results, and will dig up a old pentium and try that next......


Has anyone else detected this same pattern of issues???

i had the same problem tried many programs and scripts to open my card it had same error backdoor closed... and in winexplorer i had errors too htat it timed out and so on..

but in the end i found the blocker i applied in it last time read the script found the password and wallah it was open...
backdoor closed is an password issue...
backdoor disabled is an updated card issue or streamlocked

This is a rom3 so if it is the password you need then you'll find it on line E178. If it was a rom10 then it would be at either C600 or C700. If you have the image that's on your card saved of course.

As far as a stream locked rom3. A friend of mine popped his by using all 9's. It blew my mind that it worked but I can confirm it. The rom3 was at rev382 and then after attempts of opening it up it went from rev382 to rev383. Using all 9's got it open though.

Please note, the ROM2 and ROM3 cards were both readable at one time. I didn't use the ROM2 card at all in the stream nor has it ever been changed. Both cards have the same issue.

Where is the backdoor key stored on Rom2?


I am not sure if I used a blocker or not on the ROM3 I used the newbie rom3 steps, the RTR tier maker etc. To check I used rtr to creat a test tier and file. It shows that the blocker would have been H0rhay and E178 would have been CC67EC163218323D. But my back up bin shows it didn't apply and the unlock didnt work.

I see all 00's at E178 on the ROM3 card image I saved.

I have searched the forums and can not find the final solution to the backdoor closed issue. I have the ISO programmer and have tried many of the glitch and other scripts with no success.
My error is like many others that posted

This is not a password issue, the backdoor is closed and will not open with any of the passwords or bugbuster in Niagraedit.

My card is still working....but if I need to make any changes...I'll be stuck until this is resolved.

The reason the card is still working is b/c you used a blocker (Horhay) that had failed at least 7 months ago ....so the card got updated to 383 but it would still work.

Stop wasting your time, the backdoor is closed by the stream.....Either send it out or unlock it using a mod unlooper...
