Is it possible to run a subscribed (unhacked) account in one room and then have a 2700 running wide open (magic card camless) in another room? I would assume you could do this just as you can with cable, but satellite tv is a lot more quirky than cable.

Sorry, one more question. Being that I am keeping my subscribed account, can't I just use my own valid CAM ID or would it be smarter to generate a new one?

You can do that, should be no problem. Make sure you backup the Tsop and EEprom before you put the 2700 on line.

Yes you can, You will just need to run another feed from the dish to the 2700. Also make sure your Dish is not DP pro as the 2700 would need an adapter to work with it then.

As long as your subscribed cam id is valid for the type of rom you're running on the 2700.
Remember IRD's are receivers, they send no info back to the satellite, so DN doesn't know your settings, (unless of course you make the mistake of plugging your box to the phone line).

Thanks,
I already have a feed into the room. I'll have to check what kind of dish I have, but what adapter is needed if it is indeed a DP Pro?
