What can I do with this programer?

Hi all,
I'm new to testing! I got this programmer/unlooper from a friend who used to do DTV testing. I'm just wondering if someone can answer my questions:
- Can I use this programmer for Dish network plastic testing?
- If I can, What jumper setting should I have the jumper switch on?
- How can I flash the bios? When do I need to do that? And why do I need to do that?
- What can I do with the unlooper part of this device? Can I unloop Dish network's cards?

How can I tell What speed the crystel chip on this board (if any) is? thanks

Old DTV unit. You can mod it to get into some locked dish cards. Buy yourself a iso to do your dish card programming.
