New install with all the ECM's???

OK. Tomorrow was going to be the day to test Charlie. I have a 4900 that needs a firmware update. I have a dish 500 with a twin Legacy. I have a Magic Card running 2.2.2 in married sub mode for Bev. I've D/L'd 2.2.4. I also have an AR105-C lock that I haven't installed yet. I've set the 4900 to not update automatically. With all the ECM's going on, how should I go about setting this up with the least headaches. I wanted to get it running before I installed the lock to have one less variable. Any suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks.

no Ecms right now . make full backup . let her rip .update , backup again , install lock . tv time

4900 is pretty easy to reflash, I'd just Jtag it and make a backup first, Then hook it up, Update, Then backup again. Using the new MC file 2.2.4 you should be fine.

Thanks again guys. Spent all day reading and f-in' around. Even found out what JY SB39 to SB40 means and found them on the board. Got the first back-up done. Those connections for the lock sure look small for these old eyes. Might have to pick up one of those magnifiers. There's sure a lot more to this than Dave, even EMU'ing H-cards. Or do I just forget what I went through to get that up and running on a too small computer.....It's a hobby, right??
