A seious problem has been detected in your receiver error 153 any advice as how to

operating a 2800 on Dish,did the erase with jtags,downloaded new cemu stream.Original problem solved that was BACK TRACING(STREAM STOPPING)now it goes roughly a hour at the most and the error 153 comes on the screen ,serious problem with your receiver has been detected.Anyone care to lend me a hand??

When you are told to clean eprom,does that mean the jtag erase?Also told to install reset to eprom.

I tried turning lock off and it still gets error 153.

Moments after I turned off lock I got my first ecm,it reads 00000001 on location id.I will try erase with jtagsand turn lock back on,I hope!

Did you try another CamID?
Bad CamID lasts about 45minutes before ECM(I had it happen to me when I used a Rom10 CamID in a Rom3 Emu Program.

Thanks for responding Bigger Bear,I fixed the ecm by the erase.Does it matter at this point when I enter a new cam id?Would you happen to know what sector # I use for a dp301-13?I used the sector sa5 for the 2800.The term "clean eprom" what does that mean?

I think if the EEprom is bad there would be an F after the Software Version in the SYS INFO screen. Someone else may know more.
I have all my EEproms backed up just in case, but I know you can make a Vergin EEprom from your Tsop Read using FlashEdit.
Try more CamID's and make sure they match the Rom Version of the program you use. Here are some Instructions for Ecm Repair that I have and I know will work.
I have used ScammerV2 to make a BEV CamID, but have not needed it for DishNet. It has a setting for each.

To Update SoftWare follow these steps:It is also used for ECM repair!
Plug receiver into outlet and power off on the receiver itself -
1- Have dummy card in the card slot(leave dummuy card in until the update is finished)and Open JKeys
2- jkeys will detect your box keys and ird number
3- click on flash programming, remove power, reconnect and click on OK in 3 seconds(301-010 receivers do not require the reconnect)
4-(Skip this if you already have a backup of TSOP) in the next screen, in FULL, click READ and save a dump of your tsop
5- click on the arrow near FULL, there you will find the sectors or SA, select the one that correspond to your ird's model:
2700 = address SA5 (512 k tsop)
2800 = address SA5 (512 k tsop)
3700 = address SA5 (512 k tsop)
3800 = address SA30 (2 meg tsop)
3900 = address SA30 (2 meg tsop)
4700 = address SA30 (2 meg tsop)
4900 = address SA30 (2 meg tsop)
301.010 = address SA3 or SA 8 flash1(2x2 tsops)
301.013 = address SA18 flash2(2x2 tsops)
301.013 = address SA50 (1x4 tsop) jkeys2.9.9b
501/508 = address SA54 or SA52 (2x4 tsops) P168 firmware is SA60 in Flash2
6- click on ERASE 5 times or more
7- close jkeys, connect the ird to the satellite feed with the cam(dummy Card)and wait 15 to 20 minutes
8- LED will go out when update is finished.

flutiefanatic, what app did you use to get a new camid?? I am having the same problem as you. I am using camid.exe but i cannot get a valid camid.

BTW, i would suggest enabling the tsop/eeprom lock since this avoids having to use jtag over and over, however once you have a valid camid then this should not matter since the ecm should theoretically not affect you.

I have a SV1 on a 2700 ird. How did you fix your 2800? Could you tell me what you did? Did you have to remove SV1 chip & place somewhere else? Or Can I just use the new update from dishstar & put in a new cam id?

One more thing...did you have to put in any resisters like oddcircuits says for the 2800 or can you just jtag with lock to "off" position. Could you give me step by step instructions on what you did if at all possible?
