Hey Guys,
Listed below is my current setup...
-811/301.010 Receivers both Dish Pro compatiable
-Dishnetwork Dish Pro 500 dish with dual LNB's
I recently upgraded my system from a Legacy 500 to a DP 500 dish. I basically hooked it up identical to the setup I had for the Legacy 500 dish (no switch used)...I was able to easily acquire signals for satellites 110 and 119 on the 811 receiver (replaced the 6000 receiver), but despite numerous attempts I have been unable to acquire any type of signal on the 301 receiver...Has this ever happened to anyone? Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hey Birdie,
I ran check switch (multiple times on the 301) on both receivers...Like I said in the first post, I had no problems with the 811, but the 301 is being difficult...

What firmware versions on the 301's and what did check switch report back onscreen?

When you move over from legacy switch to DP switch, you MUST hard-reset your receiver to clear EPROM. Then do a check switch without connecting the signal cable to it, it will fail. Now connect the signal cable to it and do check switch.
Be sure:
--Correct dish type is chosen in setup menu.
--Latest firmware.

To all:
Thanks for the quick replies!
First, to answer Birdie's question, I am receiving an "X" under the polarity and satellite columns, and an "unknown" response for installed switch...But, it is indicating "Satellite Reception Verified" next to the status column.
Secondly, Indal98, how do I do a hard-reset on the 301 receiver?
Thanks again...

By the way guys,
Forgot to add, but the 301 has the latest firmware...It has been in the stream recently (about 2 days ago)...

Indal98,
Okay, I did a search on the forums, and found out how to do a hard reset for a 301 receiver...I did the hard reset exactly as you described above, and still no signal...I did the reset procedure a second time just to be sure, and got the same results. Any more suggestions? Anyone?
Thanks...

Hey Guys thanks again for your help and input! I was able to resolve the problem...Come to find out the problem was a loose connector on one of the cables...I changed the connector, and have been up and running since this morning!
