3700 Receiver won't work with remote?

I have a 3700 receiver.The remote will not cut the power off or change channels or let me into the menu.I have tried 6 different remotes,so I know it is not the remote.Anyone know what I might be able to check inside of the receiver or replace inside of the receiver to get this receiver to work with a remote?It runs fine and will change manually,but can't get into the menu to do a check switch without the use of a remote.Any help will be appreciated.Thanks.

Check remote address at System Info

Yes, Pull your card and look at the system info onscreen, look at the remote location number, If it is anything other than 1 the receiver has been reprogrammed to another remote code. If it has been changed you can redo the remote code like this:

unplug all the other close by receivers 1st:
[1] press sytem info
[2] press and hold the SAT button until all buttons light up
[3] use the # pad to select a new remote address # [1-15] the light will blink after each entered digit
[4] press the # and the SAT will flash 3 times
[5] press the record button

Now that remote and IRD are the same remote address.
