3700 receiver

Hey all,
Are there any dfferences at all between the 2700/2800 and the 3700 or are they exactly the same? If so,how come. The reason I ask is because My 3700 updated to a 2800 after an ecm.Thanks

They are the same basically, based on the same software. I have a 2700 and a 3700 that show up the same as a 2800. Apparently there were some minor differences in features but I don't see it !

The 2700/3700/2800 All Run The Same Firmware Now. Dish Has Combined Several Receiver's Firmware.
