Brand new receiver

I have a brand new 3100 bell still in box.My question does anything have to be done with receiver like erase SAE3 to take new updates before putting a ROM card or magic card in for the first time besides getting boxkeys.Or do i just get boxkeys program either card and it's good to go.Thanks

all I did with mine was get keys program cars and then let it stream whatever one you want dish or bell but you have to decide first what provider you want .hope that helps

sorry I must have had cars on my mind when writing it should say program card
