Hi,

Could someone tell me what the diffrence between the SuperDish 121 and 105 are?
I am using a 3100 and the 20'' dish to get 119 & 110 but get alot of rainfade so I would like to get a bigger dish.

I do have a 24" Bell Expressvu dish would I be able to it instead of buying a superdish.

The SuperDish 121 and 105 are essentially the same except for the SuperDish 121 will only get sats 110,119 and 121. The SuperDish 105 will only get sats 105, 110 and 119. If you are not really interested in testing on the 121 or 105 sats then just mount your existing LNBs on the bigger dish. I have two old PrimeStar dishes set up with one pointing at sat 105 and I mounted a Quad LNB on it for the 110 and 119 sats. I get 125 signal strength on the 110 and 119 sats and have not had any rain fade yet.

Before I go and buy a superdish 121 I just wanted to know if there is a diffrences between the programing I would get. Currently I am getting 119, 110, 61.5 using 1 Dish 500 and 1 Dish 300. Signal strength on 119 & 110 when it is clear weather is usually around 115% to 125% but when I rains or snows hard it drops to 60% to 70%. Bird 61.5 has 70% on clear days but I know I need to get a bigger dish for it.

So should I bother changing to the Superdish or leave things alone?

It all depends on your location. Generally, West Coast is 121 and East Coast is 105.

Good Luck
