trying to get all TP'S on 121 without buying a SuperDish.............I was talking to someone and said can be caught with a 30" dish but the LNB is like one of the very first DISH/BEV starting using with some type of ring on it.........any ideas?

You'll need a FSS KU band LNB to get either the 105 or 121 biird. A regular DTV or Dish LNB will NOT work.

Any Ku band LNB will work for sat 105 or 121 as long as it or the dish has the ability to be skewed and will mount on your big dish.

Like the dish 500. It has to be skewed or tilted to a certain angle.

I have an FSKUV and it won't catch all TP's. A regular 30"dish that everyone uses for FTA doesn't have skew

Not all tranponders are active, I don't have my list handy, But something to the nature of 16,17 and two others are active.

Does anyone have the skew angle needed for hitting the 105? This is all I've been able to come up with prior to trying to set mine up...
Latitude: 36.1700°N
Longitude: 86.8300°W
Satellite: 105.1°W
Azimuth: 209.2°
Elevation: 43.8°
Knowing the right skew angle will make trying to hit this thing a LOT easier.
Thanks

I should have posted the rest...sorry. I'm using an old primestar dish just for the 105 and connecting that to my exisating 100/119 setup.

I believe I can get away with the 30"dish but I need to find a LNB that will catch H&V Transpoders....anyone know of a place north of the border or where I can get the one I need?

Any KU lnb will work for 121 and 105, and get both odd and even, as long as you use a LEGACY receiver. NO presently produced ku lnb will get both odd and even at the same time, except the superdish KU lnb, with a DISHPRO receiver. Skew using a FTA dish is done by turning the KU lnb in the mount at the dish. Normally, one starts with the ku lnb pointing down at the 6 o`clock position, then move it to the left or right to tune the signal.

The LNB that works to get 121 is the OLD DISHNET/BELL LNB"S before the repoint about 4years ago, it has a Dishnet logo on the back of it

Primestar LNB will work. Just add a Dave's 3X4 multiswitch in between your LNB and SW21 and you're good to go.
