2700 to 3900

I have a 2700 receiver
I was told by a friend that I can change it to a 3900
is this possible with a jtag and jkeys?
3900 has a much better program guide

Nope...you can flash a 3900 with bev and dish 2700 firmwares to have a dual-boot receiver, but you can't make a 2700 into a 3900. Tsop is 2 meg on a 3900, and a 2700 tsop is only 512k.
