hd 6000??

Just wondering if I were to get a dish 6000 would i be able to watch the HDTV channels or are they available only on the newer cards that havent been cracked yet?? This would make my choice on whether to buy a 6000 unit is worth it

so basically what your saying is that unless u subs legit u cant get the hdtv channels until the nagra2 cards get hacked. So i guess its not worth getting the 6000 receiver yet

For Dish, they have all been moved over to the Nagra 2 cards. I believe Bell is in the process of moving them over.

IMPO the Nagra2 will be cracked sooner than later so if you can get a 6000 for a cheap price I'd say go for it!

Once the Nagra2 is compromised those babies will go thru the roof cus' they're the only "Dish/BEV" units that can do HD with a card, as the other HD units are "cardless".

True, they're only glorified 2700's right now but, they do get Dolby Digital 5.1 also.

no. only with a subbed yellow rom.
but two other points,....the 6000 can be used with the 8vsb to get local hd over the air with antennea if you are in area thatr has stations broadcasting in hd.
Also, they have NEVER been hit/targeted with ecm by charlie. so you can run wide open and not worry about ecm,.....they are jtaggable so even if they ever did hit them they can be repaired. the NEVER ecm target is absolutely NOT guaranteed but good chance since the 6000 can be used by exsubers for the ota HD they do not want to take chance of ecming a nonsubbers receivers and having to repair replace it.
