does anyone know if jyf will work on last weeks ecm?? i have done this successfuly on previous ecm...tried same and rec is still 000001 my jtag will simlpey not work tks :cry:

Yes it will, it is a last resort but yes, will be good whenever you get 000001

I use the JYF on all my IRD's and it does work. Just be careful when you do the work. It can be very tricky but will pay off in the long run. After you do a reset you will also need to rewrite the card to get the right cam ID so the ecm won't effect you again.

Where can i find more info on this JYF I never try that before my IRD is refusing to cooperate with with the bufffer jtag. It won't recognice the IRD There for I can't access the flash to erase the ooooo1 addess.

I have a 310-13 1 ship, I try the wall2 and jtag and i been hitting that mouse like a hooker in Fujii and still i dont get the 0x1d405041 i used to get so i cann't erase the flash

There is nothing wrong with a JY fix, The problem comes into play when people short the wrong area by mistake. It is recommended to have tsop backups before JY fix, But after hundreds of JY's I have never had to reflash a tsop yet from jy fixes. Hard on chip? Never smoked one yet.
301-013 is sb39 to sb 40 again like older models, Short these 2 points while ird is powered up in the stream for a full 35 seconds, 13's take longer. The power light will blink after 10 seconds, But give it 35 or it will just come back on 00000001.

tks for replies guys but still can't jyf my 2800 have done so in past as jtag will not function tried everything this go around sat cable in/out card in/out power on /off hold for 40 secs power light blinks but allways at 00001 my card was done my someone else and i do not know if that is the reason....ird was hit with the oct 27 ecm rom 3 any advise?

Where can I get a photo of the JY points for a 2800, the ones in the download dosent seem to match, and my board dosent have any marking to show what sb 39 and 40 are.

How do you short this points with just a cable to sb39 to sb 40? if so do i hold the cable for 35 sec or more? or just solder a cable between this points?
do you have to do it with the tv on?
do you happen to have a pic of this points?

Go into the archives. Budreau has a full explanation and photos. You'll have to go back two or three months. It's all there. Tanman

OK GUYZ...I had the same problem where i couldnt jtag but now, everytime, i only do jyf and my system is back up in 5 mins after an ECM.

Take a coax cable (same running from your dish to IRD) and cut out a piece about 3" in length. Make sure the wire is out from both the ends. then fold it. This wire has worked great for me.

Now, say if you have location ID:0000001. Switch your IRD on with the card inside (ofcourse reprogrammed with new camid or if you have magic, then with new updates) and as soon as you see the screen which shows the progress of finding the signal, Place 1st contact of wire on sb40 then carefully, place the second point on sb39. As soon as you place it on sb39, you will notice that your screen will go blank (grey or greenish in color). Now, watch the light, it'll flicker once then twice...hold it for about 15 - 20 seconds and then remove the wire from both the pins together and wait....It takes about 5 mins for my IRD to receive updates....
The light on ird will come on and off intermittently but make sure not to turn off the ird or anything....Leave it alone, it will automatically turn the IRD off and then turn it back on, showing the same progress screen in 5 - 7 mins and this should restore your location ID. I hope this works
