Has anyone had a successful setup of a Superdish pointing to 110, 119, and 121 in the Toronto area? I heard the 121 is tough to get in Canada. I would like to remove 3 dishes on the side of my house and just put 1 dish if I can.

Thanks!

I'm about 100 miles south of the Canadian border and 121 superdish is pretty weak already on sat 121, Best sig is around 62, One rain drop in the sky and losses signal.

I live in the Seattle area and this is what I found out about the superdish after alot of research. I bought the 121 superdish.

This is an email I got from VSSLL communications.

The satellite being used in the 105 location currently lacks the power to broadcast signal to your area. We discovered this last November.
This is a satellite that was already in orbit. DISH leased it on a temporary basis. They launched, or were supposed to have launched, a new 105 satellite in August.
This had been planned before the lease on the existing satellite. If it is still on schedule, it should be operational in November.
My theory is they will begin to migrate HDTV to the 105 location as they had planned to do, and actually "did", for a couple days, last November.
They will probably begin by offering new HDTV Channels on the 105 with a free conversion, under a 1 year contract, then gradually move everybody to Superdish in "baby steps" over time.

The 121 should end up being international.

Locals are being broadcast on different Superdish in different areas now, I think that'll change by the end of the year.

I guess my point is, wait until next month unless you are wanting to subscribe to a channel that requires the Superdish.
If you subscribe to a channel that requires a Superdish, DISH will convert you to the SD for free with 1 year contract. In your case, it would have to be a channel on the 121 satellite location
You can convert from the 121 to the 105 for $40.00 plus labor.

Everything will be HDTV by 2008.

This shows the stats and coverage of 121. If appears the coverage has been expanded since the last time I looked, However it still is a old sat converted to Mpeg2 for dishnet and usually needs a larger dish with ku lnb.

Thanks a lot guys for the information. Can I use it for 110 and 119 and 91 for Bell Express VU or will that be a different jigged up dish to accomodate this? I thought you could use the Direct TV elliptical dish!
