Seems like the last ECM hit units with TSOP lock installed. How effective are the locks?

At least the locks kep the receivers I have from needing constant JTAG'ing. At most mine rebooted once an hour.

For the receivers that are stable and easy to jtag, I'm still not a lock fan. Seems like Charlie has been able to solve each lock generation so far, and I'm sure that will continue.I prefer to prevent the target, rather than fix the bullseye...valid cam i.d., minimal tiers, tight ppv string , no events, and Milis blocker. I've had great results with this formula.

Thanks LuckLarry,
So would you prefer plastic (ROM 3 or 10) over Magic card?

Rom10 while it lasts...no magic crap for me. Look at all the threads about peeps and magic problems.

I am running 3 rom 10's. 3700, 3900 and a 6000. Been running 5 months with no locks installed and milis pb. Have never had 1 go down.
