Quick question about Dishnet

I have a reciever (3700 Series) and a ROM3 Access Card. If I'm going to purchase an ISO Programmer to program the card, will I need a JTag as well?

Yes you most Definatley need a jtag , you can either make one for $5 or buy one , But that is the Most important thing you need , cause if and when you get hit ( ECM) and you will , you'll need the jtag to erase the Corrupted sector(s) there are instructions here on how to make a simple jtag ( very easy) just do a search

What are you planning on doing with a ROM3? I think only locals are available on that card, and I'm not too sure about that. I think you need a ROM 102 or higher to receive any level of programming, and you'll need an unlocker as well as an ISO if you don't buy your 102 unlocked.

if you look rob the post was originally from 2004. Now barmor a satandard dish 500 will work. or two single direct tv sats with a sw21 switch will also work
