Hi All,
A friend of min has a 2700 ird and I was in his house a few days ago
when the ecms were going on. I was wondering if its normal
for the 2700 IRD to take up to 30min to acquire signal after a restart?
is this normal, my friend says its getting longer in time..
my 3900 takes 1min
any info?
Thank You
Mark

I am a new tester but have 2700 which i test regularly ...
I am assuming that your freind already did ECM Fix.... after that unplug power to IRD 2700 and boot.... if you getting blinking lights then its a good sign .... I good go one for 10-15 minutes even more....If everything goes well it will ask for a card to be inserted and then Sys-info screan....insert your card and then do .... check switch (you don't have to do check switch but i do to make sure it detected all sats.).... and then let it aquire signal....There is no reason that you won't get to any channel....Good Luck !

Some of the tier generator scripts/firmware combos do this. I have several 2700/3900/4900 that act this way with TCFD scripts, but are quicker with YATM scripts. Try cleaning the card and run it no tiers/blocker only and see how quick it is. This will confirm/eliminate card software as the issue.
