i gave him my reciever , n guess what ? the next day when he brought me my recieveres ( 3 of them) , they were all working fine , i dunno what he must have done , DOES ANY BODY IN HERE KNOWS WHAT HE DID?? , he tells me not to download anythin from the internet for free , unless it is from a dealer, it corrupts ur reciever software , is that right???? and if it is , i woudl advice u all to subscribe to soem dealer, to any good site and only download bin files or patches from their , and specially tsop files, save them from ur reciever , the first thinmg when u learn how to jtag, plz thats what i have learned n am sharing with all of u , save the flashes and the eeprom first b4 u do anythin with ur reciever ...

"ppl on this forum said try to get a new cam id: , well id idnt do that "
Does this mean you did use another Cam Id??

Cuz those files are fine at least the ones i have used.

If you were getting error 153 it is a card problem. U should have put ur own box keys and ird number in those files so it should be fine
Did you give him your cards with the Irds??
Did u ask him to explain what he did??

To deusman

What are you saying? Are you asking a question or are you giving advice?

Why do you have to get a TSOP from the TSOP bank? Didn't you make a backup of your original TSOP? That's your first mistake there. If you still haven't had a back, get one now.

All files from the Internet are used at your own risk. With that said, all the TSOP, bins, or anything that might contain personal information such as: IRD#, box key, card number... must be changed to the appropriate and valid values before used. Did you do that?

Not all files out there are good but I'd say it's your fault that your IRD messed up rather than it's a bad file.

:) not a big deal you just downloaded a tsop that had a ecm in the file all he did was erased you're tsops and put in ones that were clean and updated.if you want to test you have to expect things like that to happen as learn what can happen and how to fix it the hobbie will very filling, their is allways somebody who will try and help you through it "first read then if stumped ask.happy testing. how to fix it my reciever 301:010 was gettin ecmd again n again , i was using a rom 10 card , i tried everything on it , ppl on this forum said try to get a new cam id: , well id idnt do that , but a friend of mine who does programming here, asked me if i had dowlnloaded anythin off teh websites for freee, i said yah i did , and lately i erased flashes from 2 of my reicvers , so i went to the tsop bank file section , n downloaded flashes from there, n it has been happening since then , well he said he knows somebody who can install teh software and fix the reciever for me cuz he said its not the card problem its ur reciver.

Completely correct. I had to download all the CASA tsops for my 2700. I discarded 2 before the 3rd one worked. The other 2 gave me 00000001 ID therefore they were ECMd.

Good feeling when it finally works but that is what testing is all about.

After reading your post, the first thing I would suspect is that you had a bad Cam-id. You were told to change it and it appears that you did not take the advise given to you.
The person that fixed your receiver has a point but its not a good one. You could have done the fix yourself with a lot of patients, posting questions that you may encounter, and listening to what people post in reply to your questions.
People that push dealers are typically out to make a buck in one way or another.
Just my opinion.
Hope it helps you in the future.
