I’m having a problem accessing my TSOP with a Jtag.
This is my set up:
1. 2800 IRD
2. Magic Card, using the card less ROM 3 set up, default cam ID
3. installed a serial interface on the J-tag port
4. Using a homemade buffered J-Tag reader. J-keys 2.9.11
5. installed normally open pushbutton to sb39 and sb40 (Junkyard fix)
Ever since the ECM of a few weeks ago, I have been unable to access the TSOP for reloading the original image, I keep getting the unknown device 0x0000 etc. I’m using the same J-Tag setup that successfully stored the unit’s original image. The junkyard fix seems to bring everything back to normal very quickly, like about 5 min, and all channels are viewable but in an hour or so the ECM hits again. I don’t have very little knowledge about dish, that’s why I’m in the newbe forum, but I’m assuming that the TSOP is marked or the Magic card is providing a signature for the ECM. I can reprogram the MC, but the IRD as I have stated is giving me a problem. It’s possible that the J-Tag has failed in some way; however, before I explore that route, maybe some could give me some advice which would save time. Has this ECM perminantly disabled me from altering the TSOP?
I have only been testing Dish for about 4 weeks know, I’m learning as much as time allows, so any advice is appreciated.
