Did you try pulling the Emu out and in so the receiver powers off and on?

Hi

As your error is "PLEASE INSERT ACCESS CARD" with the board supossidly in then I'd be looking at the card socket. The emu board is not openning the NC contact at the rear of the socket.

This is another inherent problem with external emus....poor contact and possible bent broken pins from a board that is too thick.

I'm not getting the insert valid card anymore but I'm getting a black screen with headings and the guide shows up. I used Qcemu to create my boot disk do I need to enter boxkeys because the instruction for Qcemu says boxkeys already in hex? How do I get my boxkeys?

You get the BoxKeys By Jtagging the receiver or off the card that came with the Receiver. The first thing you needed to do is get the BoxKeys(won't work without the BoxKeys from your receiver)
Better read more!!!!!!!

Are they located on the card it self or is it the smart card number. I have did some reading but everyone doesn't state where their located.

The number on the exterier of the card is the CamID.
You would have to read the card with an ISO programmer to get the BoxKeys.
Or Jtag the receiver to read the Tsop. Jtagging the receiver is a basic part of this and you better figure it out first. I use the program called Jkeys2.9.9

There are two comon methods to get the boxkey. The sure way is to get it from the JTAG program. As mentioned above, jtag the receiver and make a back up of your receiver firmware is a basic and important step. You should learn it before doing anything with the receiver.

Another common and easier method is reading the card came with the receiver, so the catch is having the original card from the receiver. Like BiggerBear said “read more”. Unlike DTV, it took me a couple months of intensive reading before I watch TV with Dish.

Good luck.

Hey Guys

Thanks for the help there is a lot of reading that I have done before purchasing my emulation hardware and reading the Qcemu4 instructions but nothing said I needed a jtag in fact the Qcemu instruction said the boxkey is already in the hex. Thats why I'm confused.

I don't use QCemu, but it may mean that the BoxKeys are already in Hex form when Jkeys reads them. The IRD Number and CamID Number have to be converted from there Decibel form to Hex form,as i said i don't know if QCemu needs the IRD and CamID in Hex. If you see 8 digits it's if you see 10 digits it's decibel. CHECK OUT THE LINKS BELOW

I think they put box keys in, just as an example for you. If you don't use the box keys and cam ID for your receiver, it will never work. If you read more, you will find the very first thing to do is Jtag that receiver and save the Tsop and EEprom data. This is in case you get an ECM that damages this data, and you will be able to repair your receiver. You will need a Jtag device sooner or later, trust me on this.

Himeros-
I think you ment to say IRD Number, because the CamID can be Generated by Scammer2. It will need to be the same Rom version as the Emulation Program.

Yes Bear, you are right. It sounded like Duce was just using the program as it came, and not changing anything for his setup, which if true Duce would need all three, and I failed to state this correctly. Box keys, IRD #, valid Cam ID all will be needed before it will work.
