I laughed when I first heard about this but it really does result in a great tasting meal.
Take a can of your favorite beer (tall boys work best I find). Drink half of it. (good start eh?) This part is of utmost importance for good BBQ-karma. Dump the beer and this meal will be ruined. ;-)
Take a whole chicken and rub some dijon mustard all over the skin, and then some of that Club House Rub-on marinade (personally I only use a bit of this - just enough to colour the skin). Now, holding the beer can upright, shove it up the chicken's arse and balance the whole thing on your BBQ. The can should be upright with the chicken sitting on top. The only thing touching the grill should be the bottom of the can.
I've only ever done this on a gas BBQ (sorry Mili) but I'm sure you charcoal guys can accomodate. Close the lid on your BBQ, reduce the heat to absolute minimum on both burners and open another beer. Repeat this last step as many times as necessary until about 45 minutes has gone by - FEEL THE JOY. You can check up on the chicken at this point and it should be golden brown.
Remove the chicken from the BBQ, the beer can from the chicken, and let it sit for about 5 minutes before serving. It's by far, the tastiest, juiciest chicken I've ever had. And it's MINIMAL effort. :D
I've heard a variation on this as well which I tried but didn't notice much difference. Basically drink an extra mouthfull of the beer and then add 2 shots of Jack Daniels into the can before you deflower the chicken with it.
