I have a rom 3 card I bought and have no idea if its stream locked or whats wrong. how do I know? I keep getting this message in nagra4

I don't think so I looks like it is spoofing. Try removing the blocker, they make it look like it is stream locked. Try a few of the common unlock codes. In Nagara click on tools, remove card lock. Then try DEEDBAADD00DF00D then click ok. You will probably get some error, then click card, then one step clean, it should open it up. Use zero's in the above not the letter O. Also try 99999999999999999 or DEADBEEFBAADF00D or 1212121212121212 or do a search for unlock codes.

Other popular rom 3 blocker passwords are "19 66 19 17 19 66 19 67" and "DE AD BE EF BA AD BE EF". Worth a try, but stream locked is a distinct possibility.

Get a hold of lips. He does a great job on both 3 and 10s that are stream locked.

just bought an atmeaga card and programmer think I'll wait and see if I can get that to work before I spend the money on unlocking the rom 3

There are a number of unlockers e.g. Rompopper 2, Rompopper 383, Rompuke etc. I found that none of them would unlock a rom three with the message you are getting. The best way to do it is to mod an old Hu loader e.g. Mik III and then use Pengas unlocker program. I modded my Mik III and was successful at unlocking 2 of my cards. I'ts a bit of a challege to do it, but this is a hobby and fortunately there are a lot of testers out there that are willing to help.

how do you mod. mikobu III? I have one and maybe worth a try. will also need software or file location (Pengas unlocker program)

Mike68 posted these directions (link below) and the photo that I used. I believe Pengas unlocker is in the files section. If you cant find it just PM me and I will send it to you. You will also need to flash the Atmel chip and if need be Ill send that to you also if I can find it. Take a look at the pic of the modded mik first and see if you want to go ahead.
