Anyone using a pocket PC for EMU? Can it be done? Does anyone have an example of a setup?
Thanks,

I'm sure it could be done, in theory anyways. Porting the program wouldn't be that difficult to do. The catch would be the specialized cable you'd have to make.

So, what type of machine are we talking about, a palm pilot with a usb connection or docking station with a serial port?
By porting you mean for the OS of a handheld???
Just kind of thinking out loud....

Could be either a palm or pocket pc. The sync port of most every pda can be used for accessories, such as GPS devices and such. They make adapter cables that turn those into serial / usb ports. If you had a pda that had enough memory and cpu speed to run a ported version of an emulator (or even an emu made specifically for it) and had the proper cable it could be done.
Definately something to look into...

I'm having a hard enough time at the moment just getting a regular pc going. Just was more of a thought for the moment. I understand that there is a version of an emu that runs on Linux? will a palm or pocket pc run on Linux?

The Sharp Zaurus is a PDA that runs a distro of Linux (QTopia). I've got one. Mines' the SL-5500 model.
They also make a version of Linux that can be installed on a PocketPC. Haven't heard of one for Palm.
