I have a 3700 & a 2700 ird. I've jtagged in the past with no problems. They got loc id 01 this last ecm and I'm just getting around to fix them. Set up the 3700 (and also the 2700) as usual, had a hard time detecting, finally did, everything was right except it says that the ird model is a 2800. Go to flash programming, did like it says and it comes up with "The flash codes returned are not recognized by jKey. Mfg/device codes returned are FFFFFFFF/FFFFFFFF(JEDEC) and FFFFFFFF/FFFFFFFF(Flashfile)" Also, if I try to change it to 2700 or 3700 as it should be, it come back with "Error reading from IRD(DCU PEEK).
Can anyone tell me what's going on, I've never had this happen before.
A quick response would be greatly appreciated (family is about ready to kill me)

you might want to put this in the right forum but....
try grounding pad 1 and make sure your jtag cable is short like around 12 inches...

This only happens with the 3700 ird, the dp301 works just fine, so I'm assuming it's not a bad ground. The jtag is only about 6 inches also. It'll read the 3700 ird, all info is correct but it identifys the device as a 2800 ird (strange?) It's when I try the flash program that it comes up with those wierd readings and won't let me flash it. Also, I can fix the 301 and I've tryed reprogramming with and without PPV's and it still getting loc. hit. Anybody have anything or ideas as to what's working? I have a rom10 and a rom3. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

My 3700 is identified as a 2800 commercial unit. The 2700,2800 and 3700 all use version 798 firmware. I don't know why the update changed the model # but it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Thanks for the reply. I found out the problem with jtagging. The pogo pins when pushed in weren't making good contact. I have to hold it on the 301, so I decided to hold it on the 3700 and 2700 instead of clipping it on and it worked just fine. Only thing is I have to use a second oerson to help.
