Trimmer pot, how do you measure adjustment

I have a 3 wire trimmer pot how do I measure what its doing? Stupid question I know but I have an ohm meter and get differnet readings when I connect it. SO frustrating to unlock these a23's. Newd 7 gives reset, newd 8 gives some output but then stops, new9 gives reset.

You sound about as bad as me....any reason to get drunk is probably good enough... :p

Connect right and center poles of trimmer pot for clockwise increses in resistance, and left and center poles for counterclockwise increases with the trimmer pot. I think your problem though, may be that your not getting flashed correctly. In xpatmel, click on the center bar in the window, this will open the timings menu. Change your timing settings to 60/50/1 and try flashing again with newd7. Let us know if this does the trick. Your description could be the result of several issues, but I think flashing completely is the most common problem.
