I have a fortec ultra and have a gtools channel list. I was wondering how to get rid of the channel list and go back to downloadiing just numerical channels. I tried to reset to factory setting but the receiver asks for a password and i dont know what it is? Any help would greatly be appriciated.

Hi! Just go into channel edit and delete all channels and rescan.
Or if you do factory reset password is either 0000 or 1668 but most are 0000
but to be safe just do channel edit and delete all channels and rescan.
...............good luck

 The password worked and i deleted the channel list and this did'nt work. I reset the receiver and redownloaded the channels and still have gtools i was happier with just DN's channel numbers. Any ideas on how to get rid off gtools??

Hi! Have you tried to just flash with just the original fortec bin and then re-flash
then skip your channel list if you don`t want stb gtool .
because if you flash and load channel list it will be the exact same.
just scan after flashing...

Now lets see if i understand this. Flash ird w/original bin then flash w/rev.2-F, then channel scan. Would this be correct? If so where could I locate the original Fortec Ultra bin?? P.S. Thanks for the help.

I have a fresh channel list for the ultra using gtool. This is 110 & 119 birds only!!
I have left the diseqc switches set to off so you can set them up for your own setup.
If you have a problem setting them up here's what to do
Set your first Sat up mand make sure that you have good quality on it.
Then when you set your second switch setting to your diseqc lnb in, if you don't have any quality on it scroll down to TP and then use the scroll over one time and quality should go up, if not scroll over one more time till it's up.
Then you have your D!sh numbering system back, and all is good.
