What happened to my EMU? I'm running Chinaman CEMU off a DOS bootdisk and all the channels are blacked out. It went out and updated the program guide and all the programming shows up but when I select a channel it's just black. I also checked out the location ID on the system info screen and it looks fine so I figured I didn't get ECM'ed. The power went out in my apartment on Sunday so I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm new to this stuff and only have a basic understanding of how things work.

By the way I'm running BEV on an internal MAX&MEL EMU (3 chip) on a 3100 IRD. :)

Nevermind...it seems to be working now. Sometimes I wonder if these damn things are touch sensitive or something. This time when I unplugged the IRD and coax cable and then plugged it back in it came up. I'm not sure why this didn't work the first five times but who knows. Just glad to be back up.

Your parity key zero wasn't updated...takes a few minutes.

Hi, its amazing but I had the same problem with a power outage. I ended up losing my computer that runs my satelite system. I got desparate and hooked up an old laptop and it seemed to work and now I just get black screens. Location id seems good (not 00000001). Do I just leave it up running with a black screen and wait or is there something else I need/should do? Does the processor speed of the laptop make alot of difference? Thanks - any help would be appreciated. Do I need to update my parity key (whatever that is)?

Usually upon reboot tune to 101 and leave it there for 5 minutes and all is well again

Alright, sounds great, unfortunately no idea what you mean. Still a rookie (hence the name) so please a little more detail and not really sure what all the abbreviations are. I really appreciate your help so far. Just wanted to let you know it did seem to work and now back to black screens. Please help. Thanking you all in advance.
