want to make sure I'm going on the right direction

Hi,
Please read and let me know if I'm doing things right. I got 301.013(dual tsop) with rom 10 rev 21 card. jtagged, got my numbers, clicked on save mem and got a dump of the Flash 1 selected Flash 2 and save mem again for the second flash (if I'm understand it correctly). now that should be my 2 flash backup (both of them are 2 mb each). secondly I went to EEPROM Programming and saved the tsop which is 8KB. opened the flashes from flashedit and it showed the ird info, saved a vigrin rom from there. so that means I got em alrite. now am I done with jtag and flashedit? I dunno what else I should be doing with jkeys or flashedit. I'm almost done installing my AR105-b lock, now once I'm done with that will program my rom 10 card with nagraedit. Now is there anything else that I should be doing? I've read all the manuals available. if anybody has a manual on ijeys specifically that might help on what else I need to do with jkeys. I read somewhere that I need to erase the flashes and reprogram them. I cudn't find the instruction on them yet.

any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Well you didn't need to do anything with flashedit. You only need that when you don't have your own backups. It's ok though. You are done with jkeys and flashedit. For more info read the how to instructions at www.bellexpress.vu . Now you are on to programming the card. Remember to save the boxkeys and IRD# you will need those to program the card unless it is married to the IRD.

thanks for the quick reply.. the card should be married to the receiver as it's been used before with sub but anyway I got the box key and ird#. I was using rtm118d but it doesn't list any channels on sat 121. how do I update the list of channels available thru superdish121 ?

Try switching your tiergen to Numax creator its in the echostar files section. It's 2 part download. Extract everything in 1 folder then read the readme file.

I got 1 little problem.. I'm done installing my lock except 1 connection..
V - VCC (+3.3V from C84, confirm with meter)

I'm not understanding this part.. I located C84 but there is a condenser or some component there.. do I connect it to the left part of that condenser? please confirm.

also on NumaxCreator, whenever I try to update I get an ActiveX Component error, can't create object! any ideas?

Don't worry about the update. It is a known problem hopefully a new version will cure that but everything else works like a charm.

with nargaedit I'm getting

Error, BackDoor reported disable - Card may contain update

is it locked or looped? what to do now?

Have you not program this card before. It might be stream locked if you don't know the history of it. If you did program this card before try the password you locked the card with.

okay.. got everything done.. but when connected the ird to the sat and powered it up :( it won't turn on. right before that (with the lock installed) I was able to backup the flashes. what now?
