ok, I just recieved my pansat 2500a in the mail about 2 hours ago. This is exactly what I did; I took it out, hooked everything up, went to antenna search, found one that was 80% but no quality?? downloaded the bin to the system, it restarted and now I'm lost. What do I do, or did I leave something out? Is there a step by step tutorial that can help? I have been around the Dave sceen for awhile, but this FTA is new to me. Also, I have a dish that was gave to me by Dave when I was with them, so what sat might it be pointed at? I live in TX if that is needed. Would it be 101, 110 or 199 if any of them.

Here you go cody. Here is a link to the Pansat 2500A Testing manual. It is in the 4th post in thread. This has a step by step easy A-Z instructions for setting up your 2500A.

Ok I pretty much figured everything out, so thanks. However, my dish is still pointed at a dave bird and I didn't buy a sat finder. Anyone have a map or general direction, or actually anything that will help me point my dish at either the 110 or 119 bird. Any help will do.

This is a slick little program that will tell you where to point the dish. You can find it here.

one more problem, can dtv dishes pick up either of the 91, 110, 119 birds? if so, are there only certain dtv dishes that can do so?

Yes you can get those birds with a dtv dish and LNB.

the 110 is perfect, i figured it out. however, it is saying that the 91 and the 119 have good quality also. how is this? is it just the fact that I am catching the 110 and it is interfering somehow? another thing, i tuned into a sat which i thought was 91, but nothing came in for it. i thought maybe if i switch nagra from dish network to express vu that might work, but my pansat doesn't have an express vu. why is that? sorry but one last thing, I am using the 237 right now, which is the best?

I take it you are using a DTV dish, with 1 LNB. You might want to look into making what is called a poor man's dish, that will allow you to get both the 110 & 119 birds. Because you can only get 1 bird per LNB. I am not sure why you are getting anything on 91 or 119. The 237 bin should be able to get B*V and D**h after flashing the receiver without having to set anything. You are going to need a channel list that that has 91 on it also. I am in the same boat with the list I am using. It does not have the 91 bird listed. I am going to have to play around with it a bit to find out how to list that bird. I am going to add another dish to get B*v myself, as soon as I get some time. The 237 bin is the best 1 I have used in a while. Hope this helps.
