First, before I get deep into this subject, I do not wish to offend any die hard supporters of the site that I am about to list. You can feel free to express your opinions, but I am going to show you the proof. If you choose to be screwed, then that is between you and the one screwing you..That isn't any of my business. But, you cannot say that you were not warned.

First, what is Magic Card 2?

Magic Card 2 is basically the EXACT SAME CARD as Magic Card 1. It is just not manufactured by MagicCard.tv. If you own the Magic Card 1, you own the Magic Card 2. I know, I know, there is an extra crypto chip, but that was added so you could be charged out the wazoo a little later on and have to deal with Windows XP type of activation on the card. Didn't we all hate Microsoft for the same thing?

This is just a ploy to suck you for more money than what you have already paid...NOW, who is going to benefit from all this extra money that many of you will gladly fork over?

Ok, it sounds like I am on a Mili kick here, but I really am not. It is just all roads lead back to Mili. Since I hate to see people screwed, I felt like this information should be made known to those that are faithful supporters of the Magic Card itself.

Now, that is solid fact. You are being shut out by Mili and Magician. Don't blame MagicCard.tv for your Magic Card problems, it is not them that are shutting you out and forcing you to buy the SUPER DUPER MAGIC CARD 2 with XP activation...

If the SCRIPTS were not written by Magician, then it is considered a cloned card. It has nothing to do with the card itself. I want you people to realize that.

Let's Shut Out All Third Party Programs and Monopolize This Baby!!!

Forget Waffer2004, his program is history and any others that would like to step up to the plate and make it where if you are screwed, you have an alternative.

This is all one big ploy to suck the Magic Card community for more money and to line the pockets of Mili.

Most of you haven't had your cards over a few months and now, here comes Magic Card 2 to the rescue. So, eventually, you will be forced to shell out more money for the exact same product.

Yep, and that is SOFTWARE, not the Magic Card itself. Why didn't Magician give you that a long time ago as promised? I will tell you why...There is a new opportunity to sell the same amount of the same card to the same people all over again.

So, lets make it look like we are giving them something new and exciting...But, the truth --- does anyone know what that is anymore? It is the same old card made to look pretty and new.

So, what do I propose. Let them manufacture a crap load of the same old card and them eat every dang one of them with nobody buying. Yep, that is how you shut out people like that folks. Simply don't buy the product.

MagicCard.tv will keep right on supporting you with their own script writers and selling those same old "SUPPOSEDLY CLONED CARDS". So, my friends, you have an option.

Shell out more money for the same product or keep what you already have paid for and continue getting the support you were promised in the first place.

For once in your DSS life, wake up and smell the coffee. Don't go throwing your money away this time and regretting it later.

I agree with the parts about how the MC1 and MC2 are essentially the same thing, just with bumped up security. What I believe happed with the MC1 is that the magician made the original card design and software, and had the cards manufactured and made a percentage off the sale. Then some ware along the line the manufacturer said ya know what fuck the magician I’ll keep the money for myself. Then the magician fought back the only way he could with 2.2.3, then a shit storm happened and 2.2.4 came out to allow the “clones” (more like unauthorized produced cards). The whole 019 error problem emerged and made things even worse. After some thought they canned MC1 as the magician’s way to make money off of it was compromised. So low and behold MC2 came out (hmmm looks very similar I thought). It has a new crypto processor, but wait a second my MC1 has a spot for it on the card, it’s just not there. So they had plans to add that processor long ago, and then found it was not needed. I figure they added it again so the MC2 would not be solely software that makes it different. Poof MC2 was born and a new manufacturer and registration system were selected to protect the magician’s investment. It makes sense and I believe they did the right thing. There card design got ripped along with the fact that 3rd party programs could write the code (Waffer) the magician was no longer needed. So they cut their loses made sure no more new MC1’s hit the market and start again with MC2.

The thing that gets me is this sounds sooooo familiar and is ironic to the bone. Dish release rom cards, then there design was ripped off (AVR Boards), 3rd party software could program the after market (clones) and even their own cards (Nagra edit etc.). Then they make there new cards, rom 10x’s to protect their investment.

So you see what is really going on is that the Magician is really just doing the same thing and ditching all the people that fucken him over and going to mili because he is the most trusted name in the business right now. How long will MC2 last? My guess not too long, maybe they will nail it with MC3. Maybe not, at all, hell it took DAVE 4 series of cards and 60 million dollars to get it right.

For the record Louis and I was approached by the Magic Development Team (MDT) in Last November when the MC was only a concept. I supported the MDT and offered any help they needed to bring the product to life. Unfortunately the Montreal rat's geographical vicinity and connections in the industry were more appealing to the MDT and they let him to handle manufacturing giving him the bootloader that loads ever blank card at manufacturing. As it turns out this rat is the very same person screwing up the original developers of the Atmegas, JKEYS and the DSSREV boards carrying on with his long established practice of fucking the developers. The rat made the MDT to share some source code with Waffer who they employ and thus the birth of the Waffer program (which shall have no updates for the MDT changed the encryption used in the HEX files). If they were able to continue to support the MC don't you think they would have released an update to the Waffer program already?
THe MDT was ready to just quit support for the original MCs and I spent a lot of time negotiating a solution that would not screw up the end users far and wide. THe MDT members went to schools dealing with electronics and programming skipping on the marketing classes big time :)
Not everyone is rounded perfectly and they are very good at what they do.
Now we reached a mutually acceptable solution and it will be presented in time for when all Magic 1 cards expire, December 1st.
It will require a LOT of effort on my part and a ton of time I don't know how I will manage to come up with but I think I will have helpers and hope most of it will be automated. Let the rat and his cronies liken me to Bill Gates, my track record speaks for itself so does his. I got no skeletons in my closet.

Nice to FINALLY see an explanation that makes sense. Personally, I'm glad there are some testers who go to the great effort to figure out what is going on (VidMod's explantion) and that Mili confirmed it.

It would have been nice to have had Mili speak as candidly as he is now about two or three weeks ago, but given that he was negotiating with Magician to come to some solution for all the folks who bought the MC1, that may be understandable too.

Maybe it is finally shaking out. Next turning point? Apparently December 1st.

1) Will there be updates for MC1 after Dec 1st and into the future?
I would imagine the updates would be essentially the same for MC1 and MC2 so it should be possible. If they don’t continue with the updates this would kill there reputation, which leads to my next question.

2) What If MC2 is compromised like MC1 is.
This is a hacking community after all. Although, this may not even be a problem with the looming end of Nagra1. But, my concern is for you Mili, if they bail on the support for MC1 and MC2 goes belly up, this could hurt your reputation too. I’m sure you’ve thought it over and have confidence in these people and their continued support or you would not have considered it. It's just that you are putting alot on the line with the MCT. It's bit of a step up from being a webmaster and fourm mod.

3) What is to keep the manufacture of the MC1 from cranking out more cards?

Sorry you misunderstood. The original M1 site was nice graphics he did a good job there, I compliment him. It is the maintence that was bad.

The piece of shit remark was in referance to the way they let it run down. It was never updated, and when it was it was weeks afier the fact, even the program updates came out a week after you had them. And it hasen't even worked properly (Splash)(transfers) for months.

The new site as I said is Beautifly, a masterpiece of design.

Waffer is out of hidding, claims the new HEX encryption is CRACKED already. In my opinion he says he is alone in his efforts to help the MC team promote their card with his most excellent software (which fixed my MCs). I am not quoting Waffer with any of this post, you'll have to read for yourself.

I think it will be a mistake to start charging money for the "free support" that we had when the MagicCard was purchased. Apparently the MagicCard 2 is the same PCB with an extra 8 pin serial eeprom stuffed on the board, and the MC2 software simply moves some of its data over to the new eeprom.

Better to work out a solution where the "real" MagicCard can be sent off and retrofitted with the eeprom and a new serial number assigned to those legit purchasers i.e. offer a MagicCard to MagicCard 2 upgrade path. This wouldn't be free but would be priced a lot less than buying a MagicCard 2. Or just offer a complete card swap.

At this stage of the game I really don't know if anyone can tell the difference between a "real" MagicCard and a "clone" MagicCard. Seems that waffers proggy was able to circumvent the 2.2.3 test and make a clone card look "real".

Basically, looks like legit MagicCard owners are going to take it in the shorts and will be paying out more :(
