Hi Guys
I have a few questions about the new charlie rom101 rev007 and rom102 rev 103 cards and how they function with different types of bell or dish receivers?
First off if you a guy went out and bought a new bell 3100 reg10 receiver and a rom102 rev 103 yellow card and aligned it on sat119 . Then stuck the rom 102 card into the receiver would the card marry to the receiver? Would this mean you could never use another rom 101 or 102 card in that receiver again? From what I have read here and a few other places people are saying it will marry and it won't marry. Also, would the new bell receiver download dishnet firmware and work as a dishnet receiver and receive sat119 stuff? So, I ask anyone with alot of knowledge and experience on the matter to clear this up for me please.
Secondly, will a rom101 rev 007 convert to a rom 101 rev 103 if it is put into the stream and download dishnet newest firmware stuff or will it stay virgin?
Thirdly, if a person buys a brand new in the box bell 3100 reg10 receiver and has a dish set up properly on sat 119 with a 87% signal could you download the latest dishnet firmware without a rom 10 or rom102 card and then put in a MC to get all the channels would you? Or would not get anything at all?
Also, can you program a MC with dishnet camless rom 10 setting and use it to download the latest firm ware from dishnet to get sat 119 or not without useing a rom 10 or rom 102 card at all?
One more thing if a new rom 102 rev103 yellow dishnet card has a balance owning on it and you tire to download the latest firmware for dishnet on to a new bell 3100 receiver would it work or will the card lock it out from receiveing any thing?
