Hi There
I saw leo.k and saulin talking about dish euipment and dish size that you need to get sat 119 in western canada and northern sk. What type of c-band equipment is needed to receive sat 119 for dishnet in northern sk canada? Could leo.k or saulin reply and let me know what has work for them and the type of equipment they used and what their signal strength is?
Thanks FRZ

I'm in Edmonton, AB. With a 1m Dish I could not getter better reception than with my 32" Dish.
Actually the 32" dish gave me a little better reception, maybe because the 1m dish was made for Star choice and the arm is made to hold a c-band LNB? And I had to modify the arm.
However after playing with it for many hours I gave up. I was able to only receive maybe 5 working transponders and signal would be 39-57
That is very low and that was on a very sunny day and nothing on the way. However 350KM south is Calgary and they don't seem to have a problem getting 119. I heard Toronto gets is really nice and also heard from people in BC getting nice reception on 119.
For Edmonton I was told I might need at least a 1.2 meter dish. For good reception a 2m Dish.

Hi Dave411
I tried the dishnet lnb on c-band dish and put it in the middle and it doesn't seem to get any signal. Do I have to change my c-band dish setting to something different to get a singal? What elevation should I be using? Before I took off my c-band feedhorn setup I was getting an excellent signal so do I need to change my setting?
Thanks Freezer
