All you should need to do is replace your c-band feedhorn with a dish LNB and get a dish reciever.. The 119 sat should be in the same arc as the c band sats so it's a matter of moving your dish to the coordinatoes for the 119 sat.

hi
Can I use a c/ku feedhorn and ku lnb or will that not work and if doesn't work how would I mount the dish lnb out there properly? I have a 10ft cband dish how/which would be the proper way to mount the dish lnb because I have that and the bell 310reg10 receiver. How far or what distance for focal distance would I need to install my dish lnb on my 10ft c-band dish? If anyone has pictures or can give me a indepth instructions on how to set my c-band dish to receive sat 119?
Thanks Frz

No, you can not use the c/ku feedhorn. However, they do make a C/KU/DBS feedhorn that comes with a dual DBS lnb, a little pricey though. They also make a DBS adapter by itself - see skyvision dot com or search web. I had an old Cband feedhorn that has an adjustable scalar ring. I removed the center part and wired a DBS lnb there and it works fine. I use it here in AZ to try to get the lost BEV TPs.

Hi DAVE411
Thanks for replying. So, you just took the middle piece of the c=band feed horn out and then just put in a normal dishnet dual lnb and wired it in? I am would like to know what you me by wiring it in? How did you mount the lnb on/in the empty c-band feedhorn? Do you have any pics of the setup that you could email me or pm that would be really really great because I ve struggling with this for a month now. Sorry to be a pest or bother some but I am not making any head way. What angle or position do you place the dish lnb in? I can email you or pm you if want let me know?
Thanks FRZ :)

Yes, the scalar ring is still mounted to the dish via the 4 support arms and I just "laid" the DBS lnb on the scalar ring with the lnb pointing in to the center. I virtually then "bailing wired" it to hold it in place. It`s getting a bit dark now, but I will run out and take a pic. Don`t know how to attach a pic here, so if you want, PM me with your email and I will send it there if pic turns out OK.
